Hungry Farmer: Savor Authentic Comfort Food in San Antonio

We found this restaurant by happy accident when we were going to the movies one night. It's now our movie date night regular spot or whenever we want delicious steak. The atmosphere is relaxed and chill with friendly staff that remember your face when you return! If you don't want steak there's also have a burger spot attached.

Great food! Fast service! They had salads on the table right as we sat down to eat. I enjoyed dining there and liked the Texas shaped steak with onions. The baked potato was cooked perfectly.

Not in this part of town often but gotta enjoy some good eats when we are. Ordered the big sirloin and veggies. Almost couldn’t finish … almost. Lol nice place and family friendly.

So we hadn't been here in years and were wanting chicken fried steak. So glad we chose to come here. A very large chicken fried steak with a very generous side of fried okra really hit the spot. Didn't even finish my plate. The salad that comes with every meal was good and their house green goddess salad dressing is still as fantastic as I remembered it. Restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. But the most notable part of dinner was the service. Our waitress Mia was extremely polite and very attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better waitress. Kudos Mia!

Salad is very good but has no tomatoes . They bring you a salad without you ordering. They will charge you for the salad if you don't order a plate of food. They don't have a beer license but have many beer signs on the wall. They don't have bleu cheese dressing but they do have a green garlic dressing that was very good. The fish which was tilapia was very good. The popcorn shrimp was good too. The fried okra was good too. The bread rolls were soft and warm. I ordered a coke after I found out they didn't sell beer or wine.
